Dear friends and customers in the United States,

We have just learned from Canada Post that your government will be claiming tariffs of 35% on all products shipped into the United States as of Friday August 29. We have been instructed that this tariff will have to be prepaid by us before any package crosses the border into the United States.

Needless to say, we cannot accommodate this surcharge, nor are we prepared at this point to pass this burden on to you. We will be pausing shipping to the United States until we have further clarity on the situation – Wednesday August 27 will our last shipping day for the time being. 

The first thing I urge you to do is to place your order immediately if there is anything you want or need in the short term. Orders must be placed by midnight PST on Tuesday August 26 so that we can ensure they are shipped in time – don’t worry, there will be no additional fees charged on these orders.

We will keep you updated as soon as we have new (reliable) information. As you know, trade conditions with the United States have been changing rapidly over the past few months, and we are doing our best to serve our customers while keeping Pacific Essences sustainable.

Clearly there will be options to accommodate cross-border shipping as the situation unfolds, so hopefully this is only a short temporary disruption. We will continue our invaluable connection no matter what. I have always understood that the Essences themselves will always find a way to get where they are supposed to be.

By the way, there are some really powerful Essences for these times when we may feel overwhelmed or confused by the events of the day, for when we are searching for moments when we might be able to help create a positive shift in the ‘mass consciousness.’ These include Bluebell, Death Camas, Essence of Success, Fluorite, Grass Widow, Radha, and Sulphur.
